Faith, Family & Frosting | Dye-Free Cookies in Pensacola

When people think of Pavlovsky’s Equation for Sweetness, they often see the colorful decorated cookies first. But behind every cookie is something much deeper — a story of faith, family, and values that shape everything we do as a small bakery here in Pensacola. At the heart of it all is our promise to create dye-free cookies in Pensacola that are just as beautiful as they are meaningful.

Faith That Sustains

Psalm 23 has been a steady source of encouragement for me. The words “He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul” remind me that I don’t walk this journey alone. During some of the hardest seasons of my life, I clung to that promise, often with the song Still Waters by Leanna Crawford playing on repeat.

Starting a small business in Pensacola wasn’t something I imagined for myself years ago, but faith gives me the courage to keep going. It reminds me that success isn’t just measured in sales, but in the joy, connection, and creativity shared with every cookie I decorate.

A couple exchanges rings on a beach under a floral arch, overlooking the water. An officiant guides the ceremony. The mood is joyful.

Family That Encourages

For a long time, my dreams of baking, really any dreams, didn’t have room to grow. In my previous marriage, I was discouraged from pursuing anything that didn’t bring in money right away — so I buried those dreams, not even realizing they were there.

Then God brought Max into my life. We met ballroom dancing, and we still love to dance together — it’s one of the things that makes us such good partners. With Max, I felt safe enough to dream again. From the very beginning, he encouraged me to take steps I never thought I could: experimenting in the kitchen, taking a cookie decorating class, and finally starting this business. He tells me how proud he is, reminds me how good the cookies taste, and continues to be my biggest supporter. His encouragement helped turn hidden dreams into something real.

Frosting That Reflects Our Values

Every cookie that leaves my kitchen carries a piece of my heart. I put the same care into each recipe and design as if I were making it for a close friend. If it isn’t something I’d buy myself or recommend wholeheartedly, it doesn’t go out the door.

That’s one of the reasons being dye-free is so important to me. I’ve always believed in keeping artificial ingredients out of food whenever possible, and I love that I can offer custom decorated cookies in Pensacola that are both beautiful and natural. The colors may come from different sources than traditional food dyes, but they shine just as bright — and they reflect a commitment I feel proud to stand behind.

Equality and kindness are also part of this business. I try to participate in local Pensacola events that

support inclusivity. My hope is that as Pavlovsky’s Equation for Sweetness grows, I’ll be able to give back even more — not just through cookies, but through the values that guide everything I do.

At the end of the day, Pavlovsky’s Equation for Sweetness isn’t just about frosting and sprinkles. It’s about creating something meaningful — dye-free cookies made with faith, family, and love at the center. My prayer is that every bite brings joy, sparks connection, and adds just a little more sweetness to the world.
