Dye-Free and Proud: How Our Cookies Set the Trend for 2026

The kitchen smells amazing. Sugar, vanilla, a hint of chaos—because let’s be honest, it’s always a mess when I’m making cookies. Bowls everywhere. Icing bags draped on every surface. Spatulas sticking out at odd angles. Did you even bake if every dish doesn’t get used? Somewhere in the middle of it all, my phone buzzes with another question: “Are these really dye-free?” Sometimes it’s cautious. Sometimes it’s hopeful. Sometimes it’s just a mom who’s tired of saying no to her kid.

I show them the cookies. Blues, greens, bright whites. No artificial dyes. No guessing games. Just cookies that look as good as they taste—without the stuff that makes parents nervous.

It’s funny. The big food companies are scrambling now. Pulling out synthetic dyes, swapping in new labels, trying to keep up with regulations and the FDA. Some states are even ahead of the pack, banning the old colors from school lunches and snacks. But here? We’ve been doing dye-free from the start. Not because it’s trendy. Because you asked. Because you needed it.

At a market, I always offer samples. One woman walked by and said, “I wish, but I can’t have dyes.” I smiled and told her, “These are all dye free.” She just lit up—genuinely thrilled that she could have the pretty cookies. Even better, she tried one, realized it was soft and tasted good, and her excitement doubled. Those are the moments I work for.

I use PRISM Sugar Co powder—plant-based, made from vegetables and spices. Nothing artificial. It’s the kind of color you can trust, the kind that doesn’t leave you wondering if your kid will get a headache, a rash, or extra-wild ADHD symptoms. (No promises about the sugar rush, though. That’s just part of the cookie experience.)

Dye-free cookies are more than a label. They’re a relief. They’re a way to say yes instead of “maybe next time.” Every batch is a little celebration for families who just want something safe and sweet.

The world’s catching up now. That’s great. But for us? This is just another day in the kitchen, making cookies that let you breathe easy.
