PensaPride Recap: Cookies, Creativity, and Community

Updated: Aug 9

There’s nothing quite like the joyful buzz of a pride festival—and this year’s PensaPride was no exception! From the moment we started baking to the last cookie sold, the experience was filled with energy, color, and connection.

Two people dressed in vibrant drag outfits; one holds a microphone. The setting has colorful drapes and the mood is lively and festive.

Of course, the lead-up to the event came with its fair share of late nights (yes, there may have been some last-minute bagging and labeling involved 😅), but it was all worth it once we got to set up and soak in the excitement. Max was an absolute rockstar, tirelessly helping with prep and keeping the energy up through every step!

We had the perfect spot right next to the main stage, which meant, we were serenaded all day by incredible singers and caught glimpses of the fabulous drag shows (at least what we could see between the crowd and cookie sales!). It was a fun first for Max—his first-ever drag show—and he loved it!

The best part, though? The people. Everyone we met was kind, supportive, and full of joy. We loved chatting with new friends, sharing our cookies, and being part of a celebration that radiates love and creativity. It was such a reminder of why we do what we do—cookies bring people together, and there’s nothing sweeter than that.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s PensaPride, and maybe next time we’ll even sneak away from the booth long enough to catch a full performance or two 😉

Until then—thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a smile, and made the day unforgettable. 💗
